2022 Beatles Auction - Promotional Poster For The Love Letters To The Beatles Book

A lot of the time we don't think twice about promotional material, it goes up in shop windows while a product is new and is more often than not discarded when the next big new product comes along.

This promotional shop poster was for the book Love Letters To The Beatles which was a compilation of fan letters sent to the band. (It's a fascinating and amusing read if you ever come across a copy by the way.)  It's bold colouring would make it very eyecatching in a frame and on a collector's wall.

The throwaway nature of promotional material can make some pieces quite rare.

This poster will be going under the hammer at our Liverpool Beatles Memorabilia Auction this August and is expected to fetch between £350-£400.

2022 Beatles Auction - Cavern Club Cards

The Cavern Club is synonymous with the Beatles, and membership cards from the years they played can be very sought after.  Even ones dating from the time after their last appearance have some value.  The used 1964 card below and the Junior Cavern cards (one for a boy and one for a girl) will be offered for sale in our forthcoming Liverpool Beatles Memorabilia Auction this year.  Estimates are listed below.

2022 Beatles Auction - Set of Washington Pottery Candy Dishes

The Washington Pottery range is a favourite of mine, I think it is all very displayable.

This full set of four candy dishes, each featuring a different Beatle, is no exception to that.

Cheers!  These Beatles drinking vessels will look amazing in a display cabinet.  I mean, you could actually use them if you wanted to but I'd be very careful with the glass ones!

2022 Beatles Auction - Japanese Beatles Booty Bag from 1964

This plastic "booty" bag dates from 1964 and comes from Japan.
It features a cartoon image of The Beatles in blue suits with their instruments and has a yellow pull cord fastening at the top. It also comes with its paper insert telling you the various uses for the bag and different ways to carry it.

Personally, I love these original novelty items, I think it's fascinating to see the variety of Beatles merchandise that hit the markets in the 1960s.

2022 Beatles Auction - Mal Evans Handwritten Song Lyrics

Mal Evans became the unsung star of the Disney+ Get Back documentary at the end of last year. It was quite heart-warming watching newer fans discover him and his role in Beatle life.
Throughout the documentary, he is seen jotting down lyrics for the fabs but he also jotted down a few of his own songs in his time too.

Going under the hammer in our forthcoming Beatles Memorabilia Auction are two lots of Mal Evans handwritten song lyrics for songs entitled "Please Come Through (Eyes of Love)" and "Lady In Waiting".

Baby Please Come Through (Eyes of Love)

Lady In Waiting

Both sets of lyrics come with a certificate of authenticity and carry an estimate of £200-£250 each.
