John Lennon's Vox Amp Stand
The VOX AC30 Amp stand pictured below was once owned by John Lennon who swapped it with Tony Crane of The Merseybeats in the 1960s for one of his new stands on castor wheels. The Merseybeats ceased using the stand in the 1970s and it has been in storage ever since, along with a similar stand that is also part of this lot.

Own A Piece Of Merseybeats History - 1964 Gibson Firebird Guitar
I think this may be my favourite item this year.
1964 GIBSON FIREBIRD 3 with a tailpiece later added from a Gibson Firebird 5. It was the first of its kind in the UK and has been owned by Tony Crane MBE of The Merseybeats since new. It was played on the recordings of The Merseybeats hit records : Don’t Turn Around, Wishin’ & Hopin’, I Stand Accused, Last Night, I Love You Yes I Do . It was also played on the hit record Sorrow (The Merseys) alongside Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones who were session musicians at the time as well as on hit recordings, television appearances and live gigs from 1964 through to the 1990’s. The guitar body was then refurbished and kept at home for private use.
The estimate of this item is £12000-£13000

Sample Beatles Jacket
One of the more unusual items in this year's Annual Liverpool Beatles Memorabilia Auction is this sample jacket made to show to The Beatles by Frank Till of Ian Mankin Ltd. The jacket was taken to the band during the filming of A Hard Day's Night and sometime later John can be seen in a similar jacket in photographs from the Pigman Ranch in September 1964 . Comes with a letter of provenance from Frank Till's son which gives details of other clients and recounts how a car was sent for his father and was mobbed by fans hoping to see the Beatles.
This item is being sold in aid of Cats Protection (Registered Charity 203044 England and Wales SC037711 Scotland) and has an estimate of £500-£700

Handbill for The Beatles at Heswall Jazz Club 1962
Handbills can be very rare items of memorabilia as they were items designed to be discarded after they had served their purpose, so more ended up in the bin than being kept. This makes them highly sought after items with collectors, particularly if it's one they don't have.
A Handbill for The Beatles at Heswall Jazz Club on 24th March 1962 is going under the hammer at our Annual Liverpool Beatles Memorabilia Auction later this month.
And it's current estimate is £1500-£1700
