2023 Beatles Auction - Letters From Louise Harrison, George's Mum

By far our favourite items in this year's auction are these fabulous letters from George's mum, Louise Harrison. They are all to the same young fan who wrote to her on a regular basis throughout the early 60s.

You can find the details and more images of the letters on the auction sites (Easy Live Auctions or The Saleroom) They are lots 226 to 250 and we encourage you go and look at these fascinating snapshots from Beatle family life.

We've included a few on this post for illustration, reading them as we catalogued them really made our day. We knew Louise was lovely to the fans and her correspondence, with occasional bits of guidance and advice, with this young lady just proves that.

Most of the letters are estimated between £100-£150 apart from lot 250 which includes a drawing being returned to Janet signed by George himself (and he's even signed for the other Beatles too!) That particular letter is estimated to fetch £1000-£1250. (Please note picture file names are not the actual lot numbers, they are from an earlier version) Clicking on an picture should bring up a larger image.
