2022 Beatles Auction - Rare Selcol Toy Beatles Guitar on Card, New Sound Toy Guitar and Selcol Toy Guitar Box

This very rare small plastic guitar was made by Selcol in 1964. It is still in its original plastic, with backing card and plectrum!  It's quite rare to find the toy guitars with their original packaging.
This item will be up for sale in our Annual Liverpool Beatles Memorabilia Auction in August. The estimate for this lot will be £2000-£2500

There were various designs of toy guitars. Below is a more common but still collectable example - the New Sound Guitar.  It is also in the forthcoming auction. The estimate for that will be £80-£100.

As we said, packaging for the toy guitars can be rare, even more unusual is packing boxes for the items. If you haven't guessed we even have one of those going in the auction this year too! 2022 Beatles Auction - Very Rare Beatles Handbill for Slough

Handbills and leaflets are quite rare due to the fact that they were most often discarded after the shows had happened or tickets had been sent for etc...

This rare handbill is for the first show of the tour with Roy Orbison at the Adelphi Cinema in Slough on 18th May 1963. The booking slip has been removed, so presumably, the original owner sent for tickets for the concert. I wonder if they enjoyed it?

2022 Beatles Auction - Beatles First Manager Allan Williams' Autograph

Allan Williams was the band's first manager. He is famously quoted as telling Brian Epstein not to touch the band with a barge pole. He was a familiar sight at many a Beatles event and even makes a blink-and-you'll-miss-him uncredited appearance in Apple Studios during the recording of the Let It Be album in the recent Get Back documentary. Sadly Allan passed away at the end of 2016, and the Beatles world is poorer without him.

This photograph of the Beatles in the Cavern Club signed by Allan is going under the hammer in our forthcoming Beatles Memorabilia Auction. The estimate on this item is £20-£30.

2022 Beatles Auction - Beatles Cigar Bands and Beatles Balloon

There was a plethora of Beatles merchandise in the 1960s. It seems their faces or names appeared on nearly everything! The good thing about this is that often you can find smaller items at reasonable prices when you are starting your collection.

This collection of four cigar bands are Jamaican (featuring the word "Jamayca" on the labels)  and has a picture of a different beatles on each one.

Set of 4 Cigar Labels. Estimate £20-£30

I'm not sure I'd want to inflate this Beatles balloon for fear of it bursting, but it's a cool novelty item with great packaging!

Beatles Balloon. Estimate £40-£50

Both of these items will be going under the hammer in our 2022 Liverpool Beatles Memorabilia Auction in August.
