Copies of this leaflet were distributed among the crowd at the Liverpool premiere of A Hard Day’s Night in 1964.
The lengthy text gives details of a young, unmarried mother who was allegedly paid off by Brian Epstein to keep quiet about the apparent paternity of her child. On the bottom of the leaflet the writer alleges that the father of the child is Paul McCartney.
It’s likely that these leaflets were mostly discarded by fans at the time, like most paper goods.
This rare and interesting item will be up for sale in our Annual Liverpool Beatles Memorabilia Auction on Saturday 25th August at The Unity Theatre.
The estimate for this item is £350-£400
