A Couple of Items for the Cave Dwellers - Cavern Club Cards

This 1960 Cavern Club card still refers to the Liverpool Jazz Union.

The club was originally for just jazz, with no rock and roll allowed.

Eventually they allowed skiffle bands to play and from there it was a slippery slope towards the sound that would shake the world.

Estimate - £400-£500

The Cavern Club continued to be a popular venue throughout the 1960s. The Beatles brought the club into the limelight and it continued to host bands until it was closed in the early 1970s. This Cavern Club membership card features a cartoon cave man on the front and dates from 1970s.

Estimate - £50-£60
