Blackbird Signing...
Here are two lots related to the Blackbird Singing book signing session at WH Smith in Liverpool back in 2001.
First of all here is a copy of the poetry book signed by Paul.
Estimate: £300-£350
And next is a t-shirt also signed by Paul. These were specially made for staff members at the shop and only around half a dozen exist.

Stuart Sutcliffe Letter and Drawings.
Stuart Sutcliffe has always been an enigmatic character in the story of the Beatles. His good looks and artistic talents combined to make his early death seem so much more of a tragedy.
In our auction this year we have two pieces of personal Stuart memorabilia.
The first is a multiple page letter from Stuart, sent to his friend Sheila. It was sent from his address on Percy Street in Liverpool in October 1959. In the letter he talks about his parents and states that nothing very exciting seems to happen before outlining a fight that had broken out at a party he had attended.
The letter carries an estimate of £1200-£1500
Also for sale in the auction is a page from a sketch book featuring an original drawing by Stuart on each side. These drawings date from his time at Liverpool Art College (which was next door to the Liverpool Institute, which is now LIPA, where the auction will take place.)
This lot carries an estimate of £600-£800

Invitation to Cavern Club opening 1966
On 27th February 1966 the Cavern Club closed. Bailiffs went it with the help of a police presence and the 100 or so teenagers who had built impromptu barricades left peacefully. Despite a public campaign to raise money to reopen the club it was sold on 18th April by the court receiver as part of Ray McFall's bankruptcy proceedings. It was bought by a gentleman named Joe Davy who revamped and reopened the famous club.
The club reopened officially on 23rd July 1966. The opening ceremony took place at noon and there was a power failure during it! Harold Wilson officially reopened the club and the ceremony was attended by, among several others, Bessie Braddock MP, Ken Dodd, Billy J Kramer, The Fourmost, Georgie Fame, Dave Dee Dozy Beaky Mick and Tich, Jimmy Savile and Simon Dee.
This is an invitation to attend.

Thank Your Lucky Stars, it's a full set of autographs!
This complete set of Beatles signatures is on the reverse of an official ABC TV still of the Beatles first appearance on National TV on Thank Your Lucky Stars.
The signatures were obtained when the band returned to the studio at a later date to appear on the show again.

Remember the Remco Ringo doll from an earlier post?
Well here's a full set, complete with instruments.
They were 5" tall rubber dolls with rooted hair that were issued in 1964.

Rare 1962 Beatles Concert Handbill
Original 1960s handbills are very rare items of memorabilia, because they were throw-away things, often binned right away or shortly after the event they advertised.
This handbill is from July 1962. It is for a concert on 30th, and the Beatles had only signed for EMI/Parlophone at the start of that month.
The Beatles played at the venue five times in 1962, and this handbill is for the last of those dates.
Pete Best would have still been with the band, as Ringo did not join till the August.
And of course, although freshly signed to EMI, the band wouldn't have a single out till the October.
This rare piece of Beatle history is estimated at £1700-£1800
