Cavern Club Gargoyle For Sale

We do love the odd items that get brought in for our auction from time to time. And this is certainly odd.
This large "gargoyle" face adorned the wall of the Cavern Club during the time of Roy Adams' ownership of the venue (between 1969 and 1973) It is one of a handful that are believed to have hung in front of wall lights at the club.

This wonderful grotesque is going under the hammer at our Annual Liverpool Beatles Memorabilia Auction in August with an estimate of £350-£450

The 2016 Liverpool Beatles Memorabilia Auction takes place on 27th August 2016 at the Paul McCartney Auditorium at The Liverpool Institute for the Performing Arts. Do You Have Anything Of Interest For Our Auction?

We are still taking items for the 2016 Liverpool Beatles Memorabilia Auction.

If you have anything you think may be of interest that you are looking to sell please check out the contact page for details about how to get in touch.

There are some items that crop up all the time and we don't take in multiples of things so sometimes even though an item is of value we won't take it in if we already have one or two in the sale. (This mostly happens with items like tea towels, trays, plates etc... but do contact us, just in case!)

All valuations are free. Call or email us first before bringing items to the shop to make sure our valuer is available.

Own A Piece of Abbey Road Carpet

I don't think there's much to add to this interesting piece of memorabilia that isn't already said in note of provenance in the picture. It's certainly something a bit different for a collector.

(Fenno Werkman worked on the 1991 John Lennon Imagine documentary.)

This small piece of Abbey Road history will be up for sale in out Annual Liverpool Beatles Memorabilia Auction and carries an estimate of £40-£50.

Beatles Tea Trays

This metal Beatles tea tray is a popular item. It looks brilliant on display with its bright colours.
This is an original one but they were later replicated so you do have to be careful. This one has the label on the reverse intact too. It's hoped that this item will sell for around £60-£80 in our annual Liverpool Beatles Memorabilia Auction in August.

This is an unfinished metal flat of the replica version of the tray. It could easily be framed or displayed on a stand and would look as impressive as the original. It too is up for sale in our auction and has an estimate of £30-£40.

The way to tell the difference between an original tray and a later replica in the "Made In" wording at the bottom of the image. An original says Made In Great Britain and the replicas say Made In England.
